We are two humans, Matt and Katie, sailing with our six year old Blue Heeler Logan.
Logan was born on a Cattle Ranch in Tennessee and raised on a 30 foot sailboat in Saint Petersburg, Florida with Katie. Logan is probably the most experienced of us all. He enjoys showing off his frisbee skills to all. His favorite party trick is peeing in a yogurt container underway.
Matt graduated the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and served 7 years aboard ships throughout the Pacific and Caribbean. After meeting Katie at a random Christmas party in 2019, he soon decided sailing around the world would be a fun new way to see the world. With over 80,000 sea miles ad USCG 200 ton Masters license, Matt keeps us safe and ensures we are always following The Rules of the Road.
Katie bought her own sailboat in 2016 and lived the marina life in Saint Petersburg Florida while training Assistance Dogs across the country. She holds a Masters Degree in Psychology, emphasizing in PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injuries. No, she’s not analyzing you…just your dog 😉
